Secure Authentication Tokens

LifeMed ID offers authenticators that are compliant with NIST LOA3 guidelines and AIMe™ is authenticator agnostic to support your various care environments. You have the ability to choose which authenticators token(s) works the best for you patient community, and overall identity initiatives. Depending on your patient population, some authenticators may be more preferable; LifeMed ID's goal is to allow the use of whichever method(s) will be most easily adopted while ensuring identities are correctly and accurately being associated with patient records. In all cases, LifeMed ID recommends the use of multi-factor authenticaton.

    Supported Authenticators:

    1. Biometrics
    2. Smart Cards
    3. Smart Phones
    4. BYOID™
    5. Multi-factor Authentication

Biometrics

Biometrics are an innovative way of identifying patients as the “who you are” identity factor, and are recommended to be utilized as a 2nd factor authenticator to establish high levels of assurance. AIMe supports various biometric types to link a patient to their medical record, including iris scan, palm-vein scan, fingerprint scan, facial recognition, and voice recognition.
  1. Easily identify patients in high-pace environments
  2. Prevents spoofing
  3. Establishes a 1 to many relationship with large databases
  4. Scalable

Smart Cards

Streamline your existing workflow by issuing patients their own smart cards. With a simple insert of their unique ID, a patient's medical record is invoked in seconds.
  1. Provides controlled database access when read
  2. Securely holds various forms of electronic information
  3. Establishes a 1-to-1 relationship with a patient's medical records
  4. Supports secure access through multi factor authentication
  5. Easily scalable
  6. Supports loyalty programs

Smart Phones

Enhance your check-in experience by utilizing a patient's own smart phone paired with a downloadable, user-friendly AIMe ID mobile application that instantly invokes a patient's medical record.
  1. The patient’s own smart phone is used as their ID
  2. Already highly adopted
  3. Establishes a 1-to-1 relationship with a patient's medical records
  4. Supports secure access through multi factor authentication
  5. Easily and quickly scalable
  6. No cost to your organization or the patient

BYOID™

Utilize a patient's own identification or payment cards to seamlessly invoke your patient's medical record. AIMe supports chip-activated (such as an EMV bank card), barcoded (such as a driver's license), and/or 2-d magstripe encoded (such as an insurance card) cards.
  1. The patient’s own card is used as their ID
  2. This modality is already adopted by most individuals
  3. Establishes a 1-to-1 relationship with a patient's medical records
  4. Supports secure access through multi factor authentication
  5. Easily and quickly scalable
  6. No cost to your organization or the patient

Multi-factor Authentication

AIMe's design principles follow the standards of multi factor authentication, meaning two different types of authentication are used in combination, such as an ID and a passcode. While an ID supports the “something you have” archetype, the passcodes and biometrics provides a secondary line of defense known as “something you know” and “something you are”.
  1. Know that a patient's ID belongs to them at check-in
  2. Prevent unauthorized access to secure patient information
